From the outset this is going to be a long work in progress. I've seen games like Corruption of Champions and lately Free Cities, and I'm aware of how long it takes to make a full world, especially if you're not doing this as part of your job.
And since I do have a job and a life, progress isn't going to occur as rapidly as...rapid things. But what I am intending is that each week I'll update the game with new content I've worked on. And each day, I hope to code/write one thing for the game, whether it's a new function, killing bugs, or more text.
Either way, I do have a general plan of how I want to proceed. Here's the general layout.
Step One:
-Ponyville and the Everfree. I plan to code in those two locations and give each lots of events to find, from various monsters to battle in the Everfree and Deep Everfree to various locations in Ponyville.
-Not all of them -- just Quills and Sofas (Armor and Weapon shop), Twilight's Castle, Sweet Apples Acres, Rarity's Boutique, Sugar Cube Corner, and Fluttershy's Cottage.
-Code the Main Six and create 3 different routes for each one. That will take some time, but it provides a lot of different encounters for the future.
-The first quest: before you can interact with the ponies in any meaningful way, you're going to have to get rid of a certain obstacle that's guarding Equestria. It will be a pretty quick quest, so once everything else is done things should run smoothly.
Step Two:
-Once the framework is done, I can begin adding in characters like Spike, Big Mac, Zecora...the list is endless. From there I'll also set about adding new areas to explore like the mountains, coding in more monsters.
-This all leads to greater challenges as well. If you want to eventually beat Celestia and/or Luna, you're going to have to have crazy-high stats. They're going to proabably by Level 40 encounters that will require tons of potions and whatnot.
There. Two-step plan. I'll try to come back to this and summarize it better, but there's the general idea. As for pairings, fetishes and so forth...each pony would ideally have multiple scenes to cater to a wide variety of acts. For instance, Fluttershy would have three routes -- Corruption, Friendship, and Submission. Each one allows you to engage in different acts and results in a different character at the end. But that's all in the future.
Anyways, one step at a time. Check back here every week or so and see what's happening. Even better yet, leave comments or suggestions on what I should do. That always helps.
